The Department of Conservation (DOC) Paparoa National Park Visitor Centre is located within the Punangairi Visitor Centre in Punakaiki. DOC offers all our usual Visitor Centre services alongside services provided by Ngāti Waewae including Retail space, The Paparoa Experience, The Paparoa Whenua Taurikura Eatery and the Paparoa Conference Centre.
Visitor centres are staffed by DOC rangers who have firsthand, in-depth local knowledge about:
